NYC? Fed tax, state tax, & city tax???? Though I have to admit NJ is the only state that's free to enter, but you have to pay to get out of. It does have a split personality with the north influenced by NYC and the south by Philly. It is the only state which you can drop the "New" and still know where you are talking about. "lower income tax"??? lower than what? Not Idaho or SC and surely not lower in auto insurance. There's no way I could afford to retire to NJ, I barely could afford to work there. Yes, I, too, hate driving on NJ roads - where it takes years to pave 2 miles and decades to get repairs started - seems like traffic is always a drag race to the next light - nobody does 25 mph, not even in the parking lots - I also wonder why they pave the road only to dig it up next year for sewers - where the police only there to writeup the accident after it's happened, instead of enforcing laws to prevent them I've lived there for over 43 yrs of my life, recognize most the Sopranos' locations, and am glad I don't live there anymore. But I can say that, I've earned that right.
