Stimulus Package

For those of you that qualify for and were wondering when the Stimulus package was coming out.. I believe first payments started today (direct deposit). Although checks started being mailed out last week..

Info is available on the IRS.gov site home page. There's a link for "where's my stimulus"

Actually the first ACH payments were deposited on April 28th and should be complete this week.

The checks just started arriving this week and run through mid-late june...

Hey, rF ...
thanks for that link. I never would have looked, and had sort of
forgotten about it...

My big StimulusJackPot is coming, but so is summer:

"Your payment of $1,200.00 is scheduled to be issued on May 23, 2008.
If you do not receive your check by June 20, 2008, please contact us again.
We are unable to take any action until then."

That dough will really change my life and pump up the econ.

So long as everyone knows they are borrowing against next years tax return.

You're spending your own money!

Here is a link to help avoid confusion (it is not a loan): http://www.gatherlittlebylittle.com/...-package-loan/

As I understand it (and fail to see how it can be otherwise interpreted); It is a gift, based on the size of your 2008 income, going out in 2 rounds, and this initial round will deduct how much you get in the 2nd round. The 2nd round is the tax returns for 2008, but since its meant to help the economy right now, they are sending it out early. If you get too much in this initial round you will not have to pay anything back.

Interesting, I had heard it was a loan from several sources including some news sources.

Now I wish I qualified.
