No TaxXpert here, or CPA...but, this topic of the chumpchange
kickback has been beaten to a pulp, in previous threads.

Based on the IRS/Gov't @"work" site, it has no impact on
next year's taxes, refunds, AGI, etc.

The politicos could change the telephone book sized rules between
now and then, but the dough is simply a flutter of roses tossed
over the castle wall, into the hands of we, the great unwashed...
purely a political ploy/feel good deal, but it should have zippo
effect, as currently stated, on one's tax, AGI, etc. for next year.

The plethora of bs sites that say otherwise, are jive, imo.
Pay a bill, donate it to a local charity, put it in the bank...

From the IRS Site:

Q. Is my stimulus payment taxable?
A. No. You will not owe tax on your payment when you file your 2008 federal income tax return. But you should keep a copy of the IRS letter you receive later this year listing the amount of your payment.
Q. If my stimulus payment is not going to affect my 2008 tax refund or increase the tax I owe next year, why is it I need to retain the letter that lists how much I received?
A. In the event you do not qualify for the full amount on your 2007 return but you do on your 2008 return, you will need to have the letter as a record of the amount you previously received. [New 4/11/08]
Q. Will the payment I receive in 2008 reduce my 2008 refund or increase the amount I owe for 2008?
A. No, the stimulus payment will not reduce your refund or increase the amount you owe when you file your 2008 return.

LOL Yeah.. That is jus enough to put gas in the X5 for a month.. my check at least $600. I was going to buy the 4.6 kit with it, but with the new house, it's going in the bank (the CEO has garnished all wages).

My big StimulusJackPot is coming, but so is summer:

"Your payment of $1,200.00 is scheduled to be issued on May 23, 2008.
If you do not receive your check by June 20, 2008, please contact us again.
We are unable to take any action until then."

That dough will really change my life and pump up the econ.
