If the country economy continues its downward spiral Mr Lab Guy wallet will also be hurting. I also hope that the Democrats don't raise taxes.

Economy?

I've invested for the long haul and my real-estate equity decline is only on paper. At 42 I expect things will turn around before I retire or we are all in the sheet house together.

Also...This year I'm on track to have my best year on record. Remember, I'm in Health Care. It's recession proof and with a Democrat in office things dollar wise will only get better for me.

Don't fool yourself about the taxes...You make over 70K and you are considered wealthy and popular to tax. How do you think they plan on paying for all the new programs?

Forget the blinders, we are walking around dumb, blind and stupid if we think the deficit created in the last 7.5 years won't be passed on to us. Bush II just crap all on our heads and is happy to allow the next administration to clean it up. Billy Clint spent his first term doing this very thing after Bush I.

If the democrats raise taxes to provide new programs for all, universal heath care, education, fuel conservation, etc., at least we would be getting something in return for our tax money.

Oh, and congratulations on your success, LabGuy.

Don't forget India and Venezuela. It is an emerging-third-world revolution. Also Europe is ganging up and killing us with the euro.

Since when did the dollar not carry weight overseas? India won't even take our money at the Taj.

Oh, and congratulations on your success, LabGuy.

I'm not a Bush cheerleader and in my opinion he has done a terrible job managing the economy. I'm for MUCH less spending and yes it's going to hurt. Particularlly thouse who won't take responsibility for the decisions they've made in life and blame others for their trouble. As a Mason Charity is important and I'm all for helping those truly in need who are looking to take responsibility. That does include children who can't be held responsible and deserve all that we can do for them as a society. They are infact our future.

Professional welfare cheats, habitual criminals, habitual drug addicts, and illegal aliens need not apply.

As for success, I'm sure there are plenty military contractors, oil industry workers, government agency workers and yes health care workers who are also prospering in this down-turned economy. It was not meant to brag, it was just a reply to blue''s comment about the status of my wallet in this economy.

I didn't think you were bragging. Success is relative.

What's will be the reaction of those who
believe Obama is going to lose only to
find that he in fact does become the President?

I will be happy that he wins. That simple. I'll also be happy if Hillary wins. Not based on race or gender, but based on ideals of their own and of that of the party. I personally was surprised Bush got elected for a second term, nevermind the first term. I think it will show that America IS looking beyond race and what the media is trying to make this Dem candidate race to be.

Wagner: seriously - american flag on his lapel or not? That is what we will choose the next president for? Maybe we should all be offended that the man wears jeans once in a while. Wait, he doesn't SLEEP in a suit with a flag on his lapel? I rarely see McCain wear a tie, I actually like the fact the man likes to be comfortable.. I'm not going to make it a bullet point on why he shouldn't be president. What are your reasons for changing your mind on Obama? You have every right to of course, I'm just curious.

Retract: For the video, I didn't mean that every person in the video was racist for not voting for Obama if he ends up the Dem candidate. Only the 1 lady who was asked the direct question "Do you think a black man should be president?" - but again, maybe she isn't right? I was just disturbed by the people who would vote for McCain if Hillary doesn't win. Are McCain and Hillary's policies that similar? I would rather someone say "i'm not voting" if their candidate didn't win.

The whole point is Obama went from a person that was different then the system, to a casual player and now a prime time player. He changed. He decided it was more important to play the game then to actually continue the road he started a year ago, he let me down. My point about the flag pin was HE DIDN'T WEAR ONE, he didn't feel he needed to and I respected that. Then after the comments, he started wearing one....just another politician. Remember how he would never wear a tie, then people said 'hey you remind us of the President of Iran'...oh now I will wear a tie.

Obama's "vision" is all long-term, no short term sight. His simple remarks and math, about removing a gas tax temporarily showed that he has a grand vision but no path. Personally it is a damn shame Joe Biden isn't still in the race.

- but who doesn't? I don't think the Dems want to support welfare cheats, habitual criminals, drug addicts and illegal aliens etc. Maybe what they willdo though instead of just letting the bottom part of their society fight for crumbs, they may strengthen/reform the welfare system, fund education and extra carricular activities (start young, and not give young people to get a chance to get involved in gangs, show them they have a future). Addicts are too busy to apply and aliens.. well they always find a way. Dem president or Republican.
