The Chilean Volcano...

In the news of course, with some cool vids floating around the web;
but, I found this pic on a foo-foo photo board I frequent...the poster
got this pic from somewhere, but did not know the source and the EXIF
data was missing.
Amazing pic though, for your photo enthusiasm viewing pleasure!

Looks like the Doorway to Hell, imo.

Holy crap, mD! I'm glad I read what you wrote first...I would've thought it was a pic from your deck!

Scary image.
I suspect some PS embellishment was involved with the lightning. It's hard to believe there's that much lighting happening simultaneously. I'm no volcano expert though.

KMan,
I don't have orig...just the image I pulled off the photo site, which
was already compressed. I saved it, as it was, but that's "orig"
from my docs with no Irfanview or shrinkydink deal. Sorry.

The xperts on that photo board I peruse, and grabbed the pic from,
have some vids up, grainy as TriMax pushed to ASA 1600, but one
of the vids has lightning going off near the eruption, too...so maybe
that lightning effect is legit. Anyway, the bowels of hell.
