This is the story of Johnny cat

So there is this grey and white cat that lived in this house while it was building. Once the house was build the couple moved in and noticed this grey and white cat that did not seem wild but seemed not to have a home. The couple already having cats decided to bring Johnny cat in and raise them with their other cat but Johnny did not like being indoors and would cry all night so after several months the couple finally decided to let the cat live outside where it felt comfortable.

The couple fed the cat for the last 9 years as Johnny came around twice a day for meals but would still not come inside. Johnny seemed hearty and kept to the front porch of the house he had built keeping his distance but feeling right at home.

Sadly Johnny is now old and frail looking thin and weak. The couple being concerned about his condition has again tried to bring him inside from the elements. He's old and stubborn and still refuses to be inside with the couple. Now the decision, do they try to do what is best for Johnny or do they let life take its path?

As I type this he is sitting under my feet as I contemplate what to do tomorrow.

I'm such a sucker when it comes to animals.

I would suggest trying to let the cat outdoors during the day, but feeding him indoors at night.

All of that said what is the point of changing his life/habits now? He is old and happy that you feed him, if he dies outdoors happy, that is fine.
