2008 Komen Drive

I just got my invitation for this year's drive and it might just be the first time they have an M car. From the invitation:

"Here's a great opportunity to drive the BMWs of your dreams. You can also drive the latest models as soon as they debut in the U.S. - the 1 Series, the M3 and the X6 Sports Activity Coupe. You'll not only have a fun experience, you'll support an important cause."

Could it be there is an M3 is the Komen fleet or is it just a reference to coming in to the dealer to see the M3? It is written as if it's part of the drive fleet.

My date is on a Friday night so that could mean another Saturday morning blast transporting for them. Last year I drove a 650i and my wife drove a 550i from Palm Springs to Vegas for Komen. Fun!

I doubt it too but the way the thing is written sure makes it sound like the M3 will be available. As much as I'd love to drive that thing for charity I can't imagine how thrashed it will be or possible even get wrecked by some numb skull test pilot.

Last year at my dealer's Komen drive, there was an a-hole who was pissing and moaning because he was being asked to leave. He was raising a big stink and threatened to write letters, cry, call his mommy, etc. Several other drivers had reported him for driving like a maniac in Komen cars on the route. An off-duty cop even followed him back to the dealer to report the guy's driving actions. Imagine the carnage a guy like that would create in an M car.
