A quick search has that in the ballpark with some other retailers but none with a better return policy or reputation than Costco.

Great TV at a Great price.

Excellent price! Got the exact same TV for $400 more from PC Richard. Very good TV. You must get a surround sound! That's the TV's only weekness.....

I got this exact tv for $1299 during BF. Great price I think the MSRP is $2,499 or something. Very quick response time and THIN compared to other LCD's.

Exactly, I have the LC-46D64U as well. I got a slammin' deal on it at Circuit City of all places for $1699 + a FREE Sharp Blu-ray player. I also like it better, because it is ALL BLACK. I don't like silver anywhere near my TV to distract the eye .

The problem is Barry's model is Costco specific, and it's hard to compare. It does have weaker specs than ours though.

we have the 72u series with 10000:1 ratio got it for 1399CDN .the 64u is also pretty good as its a slimmer design but i would suggest going for a 120Hz panel if you are getting one now as 60hz panels are losing value quickly

I saw the Free Blu Ray deal afterwards and I was going to do the return/rebuy thing but the price was a BF only price and they didn't run that promotion until later. I already have a PS3, but it would have been nice to get a free Blu Ray player.

for some reason that link from OP doesnt work for me. Can't see the sharp being referred too. But 1399 for a 46" is generally a good ball park figure. The 64U is probably a better buy though. someone mentioned the 60hz losing value quickly and thats true. I have my eye on a 52" aquos 84U or the SE94U.. and home ent system and PS3...

Definitely purchase the surround sound if you plan to use this as primary TV (family room / living room etc). Should be good enough for a bedroom with 20watt speakers but not for large spaces. Sharp seemed to have invested their technology into the picture and not the sound... the one drawback of these TVs
