There's nothing positive to say. I'd rather drive a 128i or 328i than a C63 or E55 AMG. MB either has really extremely dimwitted engineers or they do nothing in design/development. In terms of chassis development, I think we can confidently say that GM has surpassed MB. And on top of all that, they are at the bottom of the industry for reliability.

Well this is a BMW X5 forum, right? A lot of people here can tell the difference in driving dynamics between BMW and Mercedes and can appreciate the BMW much more. It is probably why they bought an X5 over a ML in the first place. Well that or the BMW's far better looks.

What can you really say positive about AMG? They are going the way of Detroit in the 1960's big heavy cars with huge engines and automatic transmissions. I care more about performance and dynamics than brute power. Look at the X5 compared to the ML Benz for example since this is an X5board. I am pretty sure that most everyone will agree that driving the X is a much more rewarding experience and the handling and feel between the two cannot even be compared. Well the AMG 63 is that same feel with a huge engine stuffed into it to make everyone forget about that. It is smoking in a straight line but does not have the steering response or feel that the X5 does. The are two totally different driving experiences. The dynamics of the X5 are superior to the ML. That pretty much sums up AMG vs. M across the board. They are not the "drivers cars" that the M's are.

Here is something positive, MB makes very nice luxury cars with lots of torque and horsepower.

Some people are stuck in the 1980's where they think Rolex watches and Mercedes Benz auto are the best thing in the world although in reality there are better watches and better cars out their. The name brand is what they are after. Tell you the truth Mercedes Benz would be my 4th choice in German cars.

My post in particular was not meant to bash MB luxury sedans, if I had the space and the cash for a few extra rides I would definitely purchase an S63 or E63
