brake fluid light

I have the break fluid light (the one that looks like a clock) which has been lighting up at ignition since a couple of weeks. According to the booklet, break fluid should be replaced at least every 2 years, my car will reach 2 years in May this year and I was wondering if I should have it replaced or just wait for servicing (I have one green bar remaining).

Brake Fluid Is Pretty Easy To Replace.
It's Must Be Changed When The Light Tells You To Change.

In the US, that 2 yr brake fluid change is covered under the
Maintenance...they may charge you in Switzerland, but I
would highly rec'd the change.

As to why you brake alert light is coming on beyond initial
"key on", I don't know. I didn't think there was any "time"
connection for brake fluid change reminders, light alert-wise.

anyone knows how to reset the light by yourself? and does it reset when you reset the ecu? because i noticed that it's been over 2 years and a half since its last reset and it doesn't light up? i occasionally reset my ecu.. but i noticed that the inspection light is still the same.. the last brake fluid light came on exactly 2 years after the bulid date... anyone knows how to reset and does it reset when resetting the ecu? i will change my own brake fluid now because it's been long overdue since the last change and i want to reset the light when it comes on.. thanks..

Either take it in for service now, or change it yourself. I like ATE Super Blue and ATE Super GOLD (helps to tell when the you have bleed the brakes)
