Everybody tells me my Bluetooth sounds like I'm in an echo chamber...

Installed the BSW BT in my '04 about 3 months ago. I'm now being told that my conversations sound like I'm either in a cave or echo chamber. The same phone (Razr) works fine in my other BT'd car. Any thoughts? And of course I'll call the good folks at BSW after the holiday.

Also- to get around the echo, I keep trying to disconnect from the car, but the phone only stays disconnected for a second or two then the BT snatches the call back. Don't want to delete the link because I can at least take conference calls from the car where I only have to talk for a few minutes per call, but I can't figure out how to disconnect.

Also, check the microphone to confirm that it is oriented correctly. The arrow should be pointing toward the windshield.

Bluetooth Stack

I used to use a HTC-6700 / Sprint, and people told me the same thing. This was a result of the Phone's bluetooth stack and not the X5 itself.

I bought a Motorola H815 and added it to my Verizon account and it worked fine, so I was using two phones in the car. 6700 for business and 815 for bluetooth connection while in the car.

My company recently ditched the 6700 and we have iphone 3g's. Bluetooth stack on these are great and people say I am loud and clear. The stack on the phone has a LOT to do with it as well. So if you dont get the results you want, try a buddies phone and I bet the problem goes away.

I don't remember if I have talked with you on this issue?

Did you speak with one of my tech guys here and get this issue resolved?
