I agree with ZsX503. It's easy to get the correct size for the box by measuring the space yourself. That's the easiest part of the project. I simply used cardboard and tape to come up with my enclosure design. So far I've had no time to pull the enclosure out and post dimensions. Eventually I will post those numbers - I don't have any X5 secrets!

Well the point of the thread is to "Show your subwoofer enclosure". I've shared plenty and even made complete guide on painting your interior. What have you shared? You won't even measure your trunk

Ok I give up!.
Spent the whole of yesterday measuring cardboards and cutting wood and made a pig's ear of things. it then occurred to me that i am trying to build a complex sub box when I have never even built a bog standard sub box. So I packed up and used the remaining wood to cut a 1.5cf enclosure.
Ohh dear!, most of the sides were not straight!, Will sand the edges later this week ........

Respect goes out to people who have been successfull with rear compartment Builds,

Brings me to other questions
My UK spec 2005 X5 (3.0d) 16:9 MKIV DVD Navigation with 6 speakers, no DSP, no Amp.

I have upgraded the 4 door speakers to JBL GTO ???. which i guess means that I could potentially drive them via an Amp.

Digging via the battery compartment area under the Spare wheel, I found a 15hole Amp Connector block. I thought this was supposed to be underneath the cd-changer as of references on the forum?. I also found a (12 i think) connector block which kinda looks like the bit that plugs into OEM Sub.

1) Do I tap into the wires comming out of the radio module OR Amp connector block, bearing in mind that I have no Amp/DSP ?
2) For Subwoofer, Is there any advantage of a bridgeable 2 Channel Amp over a momo amp?
3) Subwoofer Speakers for standard 1.5cf sealed box - I am considering a 10"/12" Sqaure Kicker Subs or any other Manufacture subs with round 10"/12". Recommendations & comparisons to the kicker appreciated. I listen mostly to R&B and some garage so I prefer a tight/fast base response that is Not boomy or shake the car to bits. CharlieHustleX5 on another thread meantioned the Kicker's. Is there a difference between the 12" & 10" kickers in X5 boot?.I have no experience with subs and I am not looking for overly expensive ones either

Thanks
