Sub amp opinions

Looking for opinions for a mono sub for an 04 non navigation non dsp x5. I am considering either the rockford fosgate p300 or alpine m500 to drive a 10inch dls sub. I have noticed bsw has had sucess with both and like their mounting position for both. Both amps seem to be priced the same and look like performance is pretty much equal. I am also open to other suggestions. Thanks

That should fill up the car with much needed bass in the stereo system. One thing I noticed is once I added a sub/amp, I felt the need to change out my speakers as well. Then again, I'm running a Kicker Solobaric L7 with a Fosgate X1000 amp.

I am currently running a Diamond Audio 10 powered by an Alpine M450. VERY nice. Roughly 400 rms and it rumbles. I find the Alpines to be strong and reliable. Don't think you could go wrong with either.

That L7 must shake your whole car!

Finally got mine installed. I went with the punch 300 and scored chefwongs old semi stealth dls sub enclosure off ebay. Really impressed by the sound. Definately time to upgrade the doors. Anyone have an opinion on the boston acoustic pro 50s. I have 2 sets from an old system that I am temped to install before going all out with the bsw upgrade.

JL AUdio

I have a JL Audio 250/1 in there powering one of these:

And I think it sounds great. I like the fact that it rear fires and the accuracy is top notch.

I asked the question about the OEM sub a while back. Think this might be the info I remember.
