Dice Silverline , no text on the Nav screen

Just installed the Dice Silverline, installation went smoothly but I didn't disconnect the battery and I did not plug in the 3-pin connector until the last moment. I tried to connect an unlocked iphone with firmware 1.1.3, the songs play well. I can change track from steering wheel and radio button. but the navigation screen just shows CDxxx Trackxxx without any name/album/artist info. I pressed the CD "6" button, moved to track 3 as instructed per Dice manual. then pressed CD "1" , nothing changes. still no text. I also tried to get text to the cluster by selecting CD "6", track 2. no luck as well. Can you expert help? Do I need to disconnect the battery to re-initialize? thanks.

CD6 then Track6 then CD2 for playlist or CD1 for songs.

The silverline is buggy...it displays scrolling text about 1/3 of the time, 1/3 just TrackXX, 1/3 scrolling text in just the first character of the display so only one letter of the title at a time changes in the first character of the display.

If the instructions above don't fix it, and about 1/2 the time it doesn't, I disconnect my ipod, hold down the center and menu buttons until it resets, unplug the small three pin connector and leave it for awhile....several minutes, hours or overnight. That usually fixes it but not always.

thanks. I finally figured out how to use it. The text is working now but really slow. takes a few seconds for each info to come up. is there any way to display all the albums or all songs on one screen? my e90 does that so I can go into each album and select which song to play directly without having to go through every one of them.

Not all at the same time - it will use the top left field for text display.

I just finished installing and did disconnect the battery for the installation. I did get it to display my album names on my NAV screen once but now I can't get it to do it again. When I put it on Disc 6, Tr 6 I just get the software version. I will try rebooting my iPod and try again. Is this a characteristic of the Silverline or of the Dice system itself? Will let you know if I have success.

Are you returning to CD1 after DISC6/TRACK6?

I actually went to CD6/TR6 and then went to CD3 the last time and just used the fast forward button. I get it to change artists just fine but have not had it display on the screen again. I am assuming that I need to go to CD6/TR6 everytime I turn the car on and then go to my optional CD correct? I did reboot my iPod to see if that made a change but it didn't.

Open to any suggestions. I knew there would be a learning curve and am really happy with the sound quality and the ability to change things from the front controls. Text would be a plus.
