Program button for center display when in ipod control mode...

Tales of the strange. I got the dice kit installed, took about 2 hours, much of the time spent installing the DSP D/A converter that I actually didn't need. Apparently if you have DSP but your changer doesn't connect to the amp with the coax...you don't need it.

Anyway, got it installed, working, programmed, track display, works much like my old phatbox from the control standpoint, but better since I get artist and track info.

I start to drive and decided to program the center display, held the button down, program came up on the nav screen, the flashed off and back to iPod control.

Then a few minutes later the radio started to go completely nuts, display flashed on and off, the face/cassette door started to open and close open and close. it started to move through the nav menus, nav would flash on and off, door would open and close etc. I was stuck on the freeway so I had to deal with this for another 15 minutes before I could stop the car.

Ended up having to pull the fuse for the radio and nav in the back. Turning the car off and then on again didn't do it.

once I pulled the fuses and put them back it was all good again.

So, any clues other than, it might be trying to use the program button when in ipod control, as to what caused the problem.
