I would recommend getting a replacement from your vendor to see if this corrects the issue.

quick question...

I am just in the middle of putting in the DICE and i can not find the 6 pin connector. I found the 3 pin but can not find the 6 pin. I have a 2001 3.0i w/ DSP dig. and the PO did not add the CD changer when she ordered it from the factory.

Any help would be great

If the two cables were not bundled together then you have NOT found the 3 pin connector, the one you have found is probably the phone or antenna amp connector, plug this in and it will fry the DICE.

Hi,
I found the 3 pin w/ brown wire on the side (DICE ONE) it is all a lone and i found the 3 pin with the brown one on in the middle (phone). I think i just over worried and i have the DSP DICE adpator which i think will solve my issue. I must have been looking for a 6 pin w/ a 3 pin but i do have the DSP and then i will not find a 6 pin w/ a 3 pin. The DSP DICE adpator will convert this issue.

Even cars with DSP that use the coaxial cable still 'usually' have the 6 pin audio conector as well, it just does not work.

1.)Have switched to another ipod back and forth on that day
2.) I Can see the DICE logo appear on IPOD as usual, everything seems as usual and the IPOD works fine

When I switch from FM mode to Ipod, I get the "detached" message in my dash. however everythign else seems as usual I simply cant select the music on the ipod.

before that everything worked smooth, also I checked all connectors, nothing unusual at all.

This means the DICE is not seeing a connection to your iPod, this can happen when the iPod is left in the vehicle for a certain amount of time untouched (overnight) and the iPod goes into deep sleep mode.

Disconnect the iPod, made sure it is powered on and reconnect and all should be well.

thank you for th reply.
the ipod works fine but the problem still persists. i even tried other ipods.

the IPOD is showing the DICE logo, as usual, in active mode
however the dash message only says "DETACHED"

any way to reset the dice unit?

Yes - by removing the battery cables underneath the spare for proper initialization. Be sure the iPod is disconnected as well.
