There is a fuse card within that panel - this will show the needed fuses to pull.

What fuses?

What two fuses do you pull? I looked online and read the manual. Im sure one fuse is the radio and the other is?????? Is it easier just to unplug the battery?

The battery is the best way to reinitialize. Follow these steps:

1. Remove both battery cables, negative first.
2. Remove iPod from DICE iPod kit.
3. Touch both battery cables together (away from battery terminals) for 5 seconds.
4. Leave battery cables removed for 5-7 minutes.
5. Reconnect battery cables, negative last.
6. Reboot iPod (extra step) by pressing on CENTER and MENU buttons together for +5 seconds.
7. Connect iPod to DICE kit after reboot process is completed.

Absolutely! Most of the tech support we provided for Dension was overseas.

Ice Link Plus vs DICE

I am having trouble deciding which route to go as well. Here is how I see it...

DICE Pro's...

DICE displays the album title, artist, and song title while the ice>Link Plus only displays artist and song title. (points for the DICE IMO)
DICE allows one to navigate the iPod via iPod scroll wheel at any time. (this may prove handy, anyone? Is it sometimes time consuming to find a song via the BMW controls?)
$20 less (not a biggie, really)

ice>Link Plus Pro's...

ice>Link Plus allows browsing by playlists, albums, & artists while the DICE is only able to browse via playlists and albums. (big points for the ice>Link Plus IMO)
ice>Link Plus has 3 user defined charging modes. DICE always charges iPod, which may not be good for the longevity of iPod battery.
Ice>Link Plus is able to accept firmware updates

I'm kinda leaning toward the ice>Link Plus. Tom, can you confirm my reasoning? I thought I read somewhere that the ice>Link Plus will not be available in the near future, is this true?

The DICE allows for firmware updates, but not by the end user. The module must be sent in for updates. This will not be a frequent issue.

Here is a comparison chart we made for the two kits (as well as the BMW kit):

Unfortunately, the ice>Link Plus has since been discontinued. The DICE has stepped in and taken its place - we are working with DICE on adding more features.

No Steering wheel control or Text

I have a 2003 X5 4.6is w/ Nav, Stealthone, OEM TV, DVD Overhead. I can get sound from my DICE, but I can not get text nor steering control. I can control the IPOD without issue, but I can't control from the steering wheel. When I pressed the button to advance songs in CD mode 1, the number advances but nothing happens. I also dont get text, I get CD 1-71 etc. When I go to CD 6-4 mode then it shows like Vol. Bas. etc. Like I am in the AUX mode, but I then check it to be 5-1.

I have pulled fuses, and battery. Still no help. Ideas? Ipod updated and reset.
