I believe you have an ice>Link already - all you will need is an upgrade:

DICE iPod Integration Kit for BMW - *UPGRADE*
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=283

This will utilize the same wiring and make the job a simple 5 minute swap.

Dice

I just installed the Dice in my 01 X5 W/O DSP. I can't seem to get the radio controls to work on the iPod, or get the display to display the song, track ect. What do I do? My iPod is the 5th Gen 60gig video

Thanks,
Nick

Make sure that you are on Disc 6 track 6 setting on your radio.. and I notice that it steer wheel control work better when you use the Ipod Playlist instead of the others( songs, albums, etc).

I got mine install in the X3 with nav.. and it work great.. a bit slow sometime.. but sound awesome..

tdrag97 is correct, CD#6 will enable text display, the specific track setting will depend if you have Business CD or Navigation.

Update --- DICE iPod system installed! Took a little while to dismantle the center armrest support bracket, but once I did I was easily able to fish out the wiring. I figured a stealth way to wire the connector to set the Ipod in the top part of the armrest to avoid storing it in the lower bin portion. I'll take pics soon to show the setup.

Everything is working great!!! Thanks Tom for the amazingly fast shipping!!!

Hi Tom:

May, 2004 X5 with DSP and Sirius. Can the module go in the back or under the seat, I really use my center console bin? Which unit should I get and do I need to check which ipod we have? It is a couple years old.
