Feeler: AFE Intake

i have an Afe Intake Magnum Force Stage 1 Cold Air Intake System Type Cx bought on november 2007 made for BMW X5 E53 (01-06) V8-4.4L 4.8L. Retails for $382 http://www.afefilters.com/IntakeSytemstest.php

Thinking of going back to stock and will just need a new breather to install my OEM airbox back. Thought anybody might be interested before i purchase breather from dealer. Thinking of selling it for $275 shipped or OBO. What do you guys think?

Why are you thinking of going back to stock?
Can you share your experience on the benefits presented on the website?
  • Increases horsepower & torque.
  • Maximizes airflow for better acceleration and responsiveness
  • Improved performance results in greater fuel efficiency
  • Installs in less than 60 minutes using factory mounting points
  • No cutting or drilling to engine compartment is required
  • Replaces OE air filter with high flow high performance 360 degree radial flow air filter
  • Washable/reusable air filter with the deepest pleats in the industry is the largest possible in the space allowed
  • Replaces factory air box with a heat-blocking shield that seals to the hood
Thks

Sure, stock OEM is better IMO, why? simply because i didn't feel any changes, HP gain nor airflow or efficiency in fuel using AFE. Ask zerochief, we had agreed on this one on some threads. There are 2 things this filter can do though, first is adds a little, just a little roar and second, this filter will fail you on smog.

I am back to stock for 3 months or so now and i love it! I do not discourage anyone, just sharing my experience with this product. Like i said, feel free to ask zerochief as well.
