My fellow X5 World members had over 3 months exclusive offering of the brakes. A few guys expressed mild interest in that time span. If anyone had been very interested and wanted to do a cheaper price I would have been more than accomodating. So after 3 months trying to get a fellow member to purchase the brakes I listed the brakes on Ebay at a very good price with the hopes of someone purchasing them. Additionally, I did blatantly list a link on here so anyone who was interested could see the price I now have the brakes offered at. If anyone does have an interest in the brakes please do contact me........ Last edited by 2002Silver4.6is : 02-19-2008 at 08:40 PM. |

i dont blame you. i went through the same with my e46 m3 on two forums. I ended up posting on craigslist to find a local buyer that came with serious cash and not some mid west guy with a bunch of b.s. about flying out to pick up the car (which i had 4 guys do).
Cold hard cash speaks and i was willing to negotiate more with someoen who was serious rather than tire kickers... |

Ok, picture a set of large 4.6is brakes powder coated behind the wheels of your X5! Color of your choice!!
For an additional $450 I can have these powder coated and I think I can get them to cover the shipping to your door on the calipers. You would only have to pay shipping on the rotors. I can contact the powder coater when I get someone who wants to do the deal....... Let me know if anyone is interested!! No more rusty brake calipers!!! And you will be absolutely amazed with the stopping power of these brakes!!!! |

OK First post here. I'm getting a 3.0i manual to tow my 95 M3 track car and trailer and would like to upgrade the brakes. I'll start searching to gather info but is this the least expensive option to upgrade the brakes? I plan on buying 19's. What is the size diff between rotors on the 3.0 and 4.4/6/8's? u have pm

4.6is
Front Rotors: 356mm Back Rotors: 324mm 3.0/4/4 Front Rotors: 332mm Back Rotors: 324mm Both sets of rotors are wider for the 4.6is due to the venting and have a wider caliper to accomodate them. I think you will find the aftermarket brakes are quite expensive and offer minimal performance characterisitc upgrades over the 4.6is brakes. Especially when you consider the $2,500 - $6,000 price tag for the alternatives. If you want to really have these brakes look sharp I can have them powder coated the color of your choice and rebuilt for an additional cost. |

I would sell just the calipers for only $449!!! You could have them powder coated the color of your choice and maybe delivered for an additional $450. Less than $900 for powder coated rebuilt calipers directly to your door!!
***If anyone is interested I will have to check with NHT to ensure they will still honor the price / free shipping they quoted me when I made the inquiry a few months back.*** |

You should be selling these for 250 to any x5world member. Its not about the money its the satisfaction you will give to someone

$250 plus $199 does the trick! I replaced my stock 4.6is calipers with powder coated 4.6is calipers. They look amazing! |
