List of compatible bluetooth phones on Verizon's website now...

Found this web page while roaming one of the cell phone forums...

http://support.vzw.com/how_to_use/bl...h_car_kit.html

Excellent information on which Verizon phones are compatible with our cars. From browsing the list, it appears that two of the newer phones that are compatible are the Motorola KRZR K1m and the LG VX8300.

I think perhaps one of the Mods should sticky this thread at the top of the bluetooth forum. Although this page only lists Verizon phones, it has much more detail than the BMW USA bluetooth compatiblity page, and Verizon is indeed one of the largest cellular providers in the US. If you notice, it even lists both BMW bluetooth systems seperately (with and without the assist package).

I just wish I could find similiar pages for Cingular, T-Mobile and Sprint.

Update:

It looks like 2 of the newest Verizon LG phones are compatible with the Bluetooth Assist kit in the 2005-2006 X5.....

LG VX8600

LG enV (VX9900)

Interesting list considering Palm's Treo 650 didn't work as good as the 700P does now and the 700P is not on the list. Go figure. But maybe the Treo 650 got an update.

The VZW Treo 650 with firmware 1.04 that was released last year worked fine with my BMW Bluetooth. VZW did release firmware 1.05 for the Treo 650, but I can't test it for you guys because now I have the VZW Treo 700p and been waiting for Palm/VZW to release firmware update to update their Bluetooth drivers in the 700p, 2007 Q1.

Barry, I know that your 700p works with your bluetooth, but it doesn't work with the Visteon Bluetooth in the 2002-2004 BMW Bluetooth. Also, the 700p doesn't pair well with many bluetooth headsets (well, it pairs and then unpairs for no reason).

Most people on the Treocentral.com report more Bluetooth problems with 700p than the 650....
