Self Level Suspension message resolution Self Level Suspension message resolution

As my X5
has started to exhibit the problem of the dreaded "Self Level
Suspension Inactive" message, I brought it to the dealer and lucky
enough the message was still there when I showed up last week.

The
dealer tried to read the fault codes of the computer but it didn't
react and after cycling the engine the message of course disappeared
again ....

However after doing some research and phone calls it
turns out there's a BMW internal memo with the number 37-01-03 which
instructs the dealer to update the self level suspension test timer.

In
my case the message hasn't shown up for 2 days which might be a good
sign. Just thought I'd share this information so those who have the
problem can give it a try.....
