new shoes for my X

OK...its been a while since I've posted anything but I finally pulled the trigger on some new rims 87 and toyo tires. Here's the scope! I live in NorCal but travel down to SoCal. I've researched rims, new, used, replicas, etc...I opted for new and felt $2K was the limit. I saw an ad on craigslist and the pics looked decent. I called the guy and he seemed to know what he's talking about. When I arrived (in my rental car) Alen's shop was in a nice area (Glendale). His warehouse was well kept, organized and everything was well stocked...new rims in boxes and new tires stacked. The front display area was well kept and organized as a autodesign should be. His shop equipment was what I expected from a euro type mounting and balancing station. OK, I watched Alen and his shop guy mount and balance my tires (87 staggered) they were extra careful but it felt that they were doing a normal install, also Alen only mounts and balances when the customer is present. I had to take the rims and tires in my rental car...I had to drive back to NorCal and I studied the rims and tires...(6 hour drive), the rims were Italian made....(to be continued)
