I hear you. I went out to play with it a bit more. My laptop bag sets it off, gymbag, etc. My wife's purse however, is just light enough to not set it off. Luckily, it's her car, so I don't have to deal with it often. If my truck did that, something would get ripped out.

It's a nice idea that the weight sensor determines the deployment of the airbag and the force used for inflation, but tying that in to the seatbelt alarm at such a ridiculously low weight doesn't make much sense to me.
