Can't be Pleasanton, or Livermore,
or San Ramon where summer weather
is 90-100 every day and no fog.
I know you we're just generalizing
cause anybody who lives in some of our other
micro climates would argue that
mean temperature of about 74 degrees.

Here in the Bay Area of California it only rains a in the winter during about a 4 month window. Sunny and warm during the rest of the year with a mean temperature of about 74 degrees during the day and the fog rolls in for the evening to cool things down for good sleeping.
It rarely snows, rarely freezes and hardly ever gets into the triple digits in terms of heat during the summer.
