Barry should be ashamed of himself because I have heard him, on many, occasions, talk about racism, prejudicial behavior and equality.

He is the first person to link any article or information about something that may or may not have racist overtones in the hopes of trying to spread tolerance.

But in the same breath, he says, that since African Americans had to sit on the back of the bus and Gays did not, that the prejudice that Gays are victim to is not the same.

Well Gresch I am a Jew, I would say, that you don't need to be Black to understand what racism is, what prejudice is. But I guess Barry has never spent any time with any Holocaust survivors. Or I guess he never met anyone with the last name Goldberg, that wasn't allowed to live in certain communities, or be allowed into certain country clubs, or even get certain jobs or be admitted into certain schools.

Civil Rights are not a device to be used exclusively for the African American community.

And while Barry might have the belief that homosexuality is morally repugnant, he is entitled to that belief and that moral, regardless if it is the same as my belief and moral. (Not arrogance)

But in the same breath, regardless of his personal stance on the act and being of homosexuality, he, more so, than anyone else on this board, should understand tolerance, equality, and also what it feels like to be treated different and be a minority.

To state that the fight for equality that the Gay community is fighting for is not the same, because a gay person can choose not to be gay, but a black person can't choose not to be black, is an insult that I take personally.

Religion is a choice, and what Barry is suggesting is, since I am Jewish but can change my religion, in the same manner that a gay man can choose not to have gay sex, that we don't understand what racism is.
