In fact why should the Dolphins be rewarded for failing? NE played 16 games just like everybody else. Why should they get penalized just because the Dolphins stunk.. If they lost, they lost. Right? Ah but you see, even in sports, where every team starts out equal (0-0), they strive for parody. When "parody" is exactly when each team is striving against!! Yet, the prevailing logic is to try to put rules in place to achieve some sort of parody. Some sort of level playing field. So each team can at least feel like that have an equal shot.. But in real life, oh no, that's a problem. Like this ideal is something new.

By the way, I didn't think you had a deeper meaning. My first sentence acknowledged that I believed you were making a joke. I, personally, didn't find the joke funny. Although I acknowledged again, some others might..
