amh, I did drive a 2nd Gen X5 when trying to decide between my X3 and the X5.I actually attended a BMW Ride and Drive in Charlotte and was able to log quite a few miles in an X5.From inside the X6 and the X5, the interior feels fairly similar to me.As noted in other members previous post,the X6 interior is more cozy feeling than the X5.The ride height and forward visibility seems very much like the X5.Rear and side visibility is a different story.Takeaway from the interior is that it is different from the X5,but retains many visual cues to the X5.Exterior is very different,and for me, one of the main reasons to purchase.The "Trucky" look vs the Sports Car look.The X6 storage area is very adequate for my needs.....almost equal to the X3 and double most sedans storage area.The X6 seems to have the handling and performance edge.It does drive smaller than the physical dimensions would suggest.Nifty German engineering.Will not go as far as saying it handles just like a sports car.Its not a Sports Car....but a pretty good impersonator given it's size!!! I do feel it handles better than the X5.I hope this makes sense! Thanks! PalBay
