Going into the end of 2007 this should have been a done deal for the Dems, an easy victory. They have screwed it all up IMO. It is my belief that Hillary will never drop out, so the DNC will decide on the floor. By that time, they will have about 90 days to beat McCain who has been able to campaign in other states for a general election all year.

I disagree with the notion that this is "bad" for the democrats. Maybe the party feels that they have 2 very strong candidates and they are doing what the process allows them to do. It isn't the dem's fault that there was no real options in the republican party (and still isn't in my opinion lol).

They aren't exactly mud slinging, Hillary recently said it would be a "grave error" for her supporters to vote for John McCain if she doesn't win. Barack has and would say the same.

I just never understood how this is "hurting" the democrat party, IMO - they are the only relevant candidates right now. McCain has to make some noise every once in a while just to get some press. Nothing would have changed for Clinton voters if she dropped out in 2007, if they weren't voting for Barack if he won then, that may not have changed now, and vice versa. If anything, some may now say "well you know what - if he/she does win, I will still vote Dem because now I've had the opportunity to get to know him/her and their policies."

It also won't be decided at the DNC floor - Dean already said that there will be a nominee soon after June 3rd wrap up, and not at the Convention. Either all the remaining super delegates will come forward, or someone will concede - and that person will know when it's time to concede. They won't have to be told.

But please explain to me how this is "bad"? People complain when the Dems don't put up a fight, and when they do - "it's ruining the party. etc etc"
