Thanks, animals are part of the family and 18 wonderful years supplied you with many great memories.

My girl black lab has cancer and when the time comes it will be heartbreaking so my wife and I are just enjoying her company in the time she has remaining.

I'm not big on euthanasia unless there is suffering so for the most part I let nature run its course. I once owned a veterinary laboratory so I have some things on hand which will keep a dying animal comfortable in the last days.

My wife gets too upset so I'm usually the one who tends to the critters in their final hours.
